Eligibility
Who can apply?
Scholarship applications are intended for teachers only at this time. Teachers may apply for only one student at a time, however may apply for more than one student total each session.
What genres of music does Music Helps support?
Lessons scholarships are available for students studying any genre of music and any instrument.
If you are a student or parent interested in receiving scholarship please discuss with your or your child’s teacher and direct them to this application
Session Timeline
- Spring term: January 15th through June 31.
- Applications due January
- Summer term: July 1 through August 31.
- Applications due June
- Fall term: September 1 through December 31st.
- Applications due August 20th.
Additional Information
- Demonstration of financial need is not required. Rather, we look for an understanding by the teacher of a student’s financial situation.
- Teachers must re-apply for a returning student for each scholarship session. To re-apply, please use the Returning Applicants application.
- Preference will be given to those teachers and students based in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont.
